WATER CONSERVATION & MANAGEMENT

A Raintree designed and installed irrigation system is already a good choice. If you’re looking for even greater water conservation Raintree offers cutting-edge green technology:

SMART CONTROLLERS

Smart Controllers are weather-based control systems feed live weather information to your controller. It is the most accurate system available and can reduce water use between 30-70%.

It isn’t just rainfall that affects your watering needs. Evapotranspiration has a significant impact. Evapotranspiration is the amount of water lost from the soil (evaporation) plus water loss from the plants themselves (known as transpiration). Raintree’s smart controllers use precision real time weather data fed wirelessly to your Smart Controller to maintain the optimum moisture balance in the soil. Your plants aren’t over-watered. Your plants aren’t under-watered. THE RESULTS: Significant water savings, deeper root systems and a healthier landscape! You can easily upgrade your system to an extra smart, simple to use Smart Controller.

Raintree designs and installs water reuse, reclamation and rainwater harvesting systems and designs that earn LEED certification points.

THE FIRST STEP IN A RAINTREE COMMERCIAL WATER MANAGEMENT PLAN IS TO SCHEDULE YOUR SITE ASSESSMENT.

SMART WATER IRRIGATION PROFESSIONAL
DESIGNATION

2020.06.30-Water-Smart-Logo

"The Water Smart Irrigation Professional (WSIP) program was created by Landscape Ontario, in partnership with the Region of Peel and the Regional Municipality of York, to help promote and make water efficient irrigation the new industry standard."

Experts estimate that as much as 50% of the water applied as irrigation is wasted due to evaporation, wind or runoff caused by inefficient irrigation methods and systems.

"With the cost of water increasing, residents and property owners/managers who are looking for ways to better manage their water bills should contact a WSIP certified contractor. These contractors have the training and knowledge to assess how much water your system is using, and can determine how much water is needed to support a beautiful, healthy landscape."

**Currently the Region of Peel, York and Hamilton are subsidizing the cost for assessments completed in those municipalities.
